Top Five TV Characters of All Time

There have been thousands of memorable TV characters that have entered our screens throughout the century. Here are my five favorites, they may not be your favorite so feel free to leave your comment.

#5 Sylar
Also known as Gabriel Grey, Syalr is a mass murderer on the show Heroes. His goal is to be special, even if it means killing special people to be special. He sneaks up behind them and cuts the top of their head off, then he steals their brain. Plus after every special person he kills he gains a new ability. His most commonly used power is telekinesis, which he uses to throw his opponent against the wall and cut straight through their skull. The thing that makes this character great is the fact that he kills dozens of people but doesn't think twice about his murders and states that they didn't deserve those powers, that he should be the one who is special not them. But as long as this character keeps killing, I'll keep watching.

WOW! Top Five Characters of All Time...OK, after blowing off an hour's worth of work I've come up with my top 5. But first I must mention a few that would help make the top 10 (in no particular order): Dan Fielding of Night Court...I loved his smart-ass attitude. Peter Griffin-The Family Guy, I'm not a huge fan of cartoons (The Simpons never did much for me). However, I love un-politically correct humor and the head of the griffin family never disappoints. Newman-Seinfeld, the best re-occuring character of all time. I wish he was in more episodes but maybe his character was an example of the "less is more" theory. Daisy Duke-The Dukes of Hazard-I was a young kid...she's on the list for obvious reasons. Any supporting character from Cheers: Carla, Cliff, Norm, Coach, Woody, Cheers had the best supporting cast of characters on any show.

OK, the top 5...

#5 Michael Scott- I know he is relatively new to the scene but Michael is a great character that anyone who works in an office setting can identify with. Have it be that you work with a "Michael" or you have a little "Michael" in you...with each episode he supplies several cringe inducing moments of laughter or uneasiness that keeps me coming back week after week.
