#3 Best character

#3 Dwight Shrute
The reason this is a classic character is because he's incredibly original. Almost every time he says something it's funny. "Of course i saw Wedding Crashers. i thought i was going to a bear hunting movie. i realized i was in the long theatre about half way through but wasn't sure. Because bear attacks can happen at any time." Some of the funnier Dwight moments are with his co-worker Jim. But almost every time the camera crew interviews him he says something funny. "I'm no hero. A real hero is somebody who goes to work everyday, then removes his glasses and flies out the window to save somebody." He is a classic TV character.

#3 Best Character-Thomas Magnum of Magnum P.I.

Magnum P.I. is one of my favorite shows of the 80's. Played by Tom Selleck, Thomas Magnum was was a 'thinking man's" private investigator. Magnum was verbally very witty when bantering with Higgins and each episode was narrated by Magnum which is a very under-used tool in the science of story-telling. Magnum drove a red ferrari and the show took place in Hawaii...Magnum was a very easy character to like. What I enjoyed most about the character was his tormented past. In flash backs and in his narration, Magnum often mentioned his time served in Vietnam and losing his father when he was a child. Although Magnum was fun loving and friendly he kept these thoughts and feelings to himself and used them as a "code" in living his life and solving each week's mystery.
