Here are some of the details on some of the new movies coming out in 2009. Don't worry there arn't any spoilers in here.
DRAGONBALL
The film is based off the hit 1990 anime show. For those people who were fans of dragonball Z, there is no Z in the title. this is actual based off the series that came before Dragonball Z. The main character Goku (played by Justin Chatwin) is a high school who is given a magical ball. The magical ball he receives is one of seven mystical orbs. And when all seven of the balls are found and are together, the person who finds them recieves one wish. These items are known as Dragonballs. But an evil force steals his Dragonball and tries to find the other 6 balls. Goku teams up with a girl named Bulma ( played by Emmy Rossum) and a desert bandit Yamcha (played by Joon Park). The film will have many elements from the original show such as the power pole, Goku's transformation into the ape form, and even Goku's kamehameha.
X-Men origins: Wolverine
This film is set seventeen years before the first X-Men movie movie. it reveals Wolverine's past with weapon X and William Stryker. And it will show how he got his famous metal claws. The film will also introduce several other X-men characters such as Gambit, Deadpool, Silver fox, and the Blob. And it will also explain the rivalry between Wolverine and Sabertooth.
Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
This is the sequel to last years hit movie Transformers. This is based off the toy series and cartoon series from the 80's. This time the autobots are facing being home alone, and have to confront the different life on earth. this time the robots of the film will get more screen time and have more important part of the movie. And this time the film will have more of a science fiction feel. And it will also introduce more transformers such as the firt female autobot, Arcee. And also introduce one of the original transformers, Megatron's most loyal soldier Soundwave.

I'm looking forward to seeing the second Transformers film as last years was one of my favorite action films of that year. As a director, M. Bay is one of the best action film makers working today.
i agree Jamie. Michael Bay is a great action director, and Transformers was probably his best film. And i'm glad to hear that the robots will have a bigger part in the film.
Thanks posting!
Transformers...Bay's best film? think again fellow blogger..."THE ROCK" rocked!
But technicaly, last year Transformers broke the record for most money in an opening week for any non sequel film...EVER! So technicaly Transformers was the best Michael Bay ever.
I never look at box office totals to tell me if a movie is good. Earlier this year Sex In the City made nearly 140 million...a great or even good movie???...I think not. THE ROCK featured better performances and realistic action/combat scenes than the cartoon-ish eye candy effects used in Transformers. Bay's Pearl Harber made tons of cash...a great film???...no way! Sean Connery saying "WELCOME TO THE ROCK" in his thick british accent was worth the price of admission and far out-wieghs any of the unmemorable lines from Transformers. THE ROCK gets a "10", Transformers gets an "8".
