Is it finally over?

The writers' strike that started early November is finally over! The reason the Writers guild of America began the strike was for a pay increase, and when the producers denied the money, more than 12,000 writers went on strike. During these four months nobody was allowed to write new scripts for any show, and shows had to rely on the very few scripts they had left. After those scripts were gone, almost every show stopped showing new episodes, and television had to rely on sports and game shows. On January 1st several talk show hosts (Including Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien) were allowed to continue filming unscripted shows. And I know what you're thinking, talk shows don't need scripts, right? WRONG! Who do you think writes the jokes? Plus the entire show isn't just the interviews, what about the stuff in between? So For two months Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien had to write their own jokes for the first time in twenty years. But finally after four months, it is over!! Last Wednesday the WGA settled on a pay increase and will soon be continuing their jobs.
